What if you knew everything!

There's no point knowing everything. You'd lose one of the great joys - learning something new. And honesty, the older I get and the more I learn, the more I think ignorance is bliss. What's more - even if you did know everything most people would still assume they know more and still argue with you til your anal sphincter gives up its grip. Just imagine how frustrating it is arguing with people you know to be wrong, all the time, every day.

I might find my car keys after 6 years of looking though.

If by knowing 'everything' you'd know how to cure cancer or reverse dementia then you'd have to take it regardless of the terrible burden.

That said I'd ignore it all and just concentrate on being a sneering Everton ITK on the internet.

In the original hypothetical scenario I said you'd be an expert in every subject purely because you had all the knowledge but I guess when it comes to something like curing cancer, just giving me all the existing knowledge doesn't necessarily mean I have the intelligence to put all the pieces together to work out the cure.

I can barely work out how to put together Ikea furniture. How am I going to understand Dr Von Struddle's thesis on the early development of pre-cancerous cells?

Ah right.

OK then - given then that I know everything everyone knows I can utilise that to generate good as limitless financial funding to help make the world a better place. So it's a yes from me.

Erm I'm not Tubes?

As far as I know he's still around but not posting.

You've chosen a libellous path I'm afraid, prepare to be moderated to within an inch of your life.

There's so many new names, but familar posters since I last chuckled here that I'm just throwing names out at random mate.

Your secret is safe with me, whoever you are, mainly because I know nothing.

If you had the chance to know every single piece of information that every living person currently knows would you take it? If so, how would you use it to your advantage?

Pros
You'd know every language
You'd know the lyrics to every song
You'd be an expert on every subject matter
You'd who's guilty of every crime

Cons
You'd know when ya ma last flicked her bean
You'd know when Davek last went for a poo
You'd know what your friends and family really think of you

Would it be worth having all that knowledge?

FYI, you can't know things that haven't happened yet. You can't know next week's lottery numbers.
Hahaha mate... For real?

You'd 100% go insane. The human brain is not capable of holding that much info all at once.

You'd either take the Hemingway/Cobain/S.Thompson special after a week and french kiss the business end of a 12 gauge shotgun, or you'll become proper certifiable in the same time period. and then spend the rest of your life institutionalized in a straight jacket, in a padded room, zonked out on heavy anti-psychotic meds. 🤷‍♂️
