What is up with Dele Alli?

Had a thought the other day - imagine if he proved his fitness and we offered him a short term contract. We could potentially have a front four of..

Lindstrom ----- DELE -------- Ndiaye

CF
If we ended up with even a 60-70% of a 'prime' Dele that's surely something worth considering?
That not a single club has taken him on since leaving us should tell you something.

Doesn't tell me anything?

Think it's clear to the entire footballing world that he's going through a rehabilitation, as we've outright stated it multiple times.

It's also clear that, based on Thelwell's recent interview, he considers his road to recovery to be best suited in our hands.

Because we’re mugs

And by that, I don’t mean it’s not a bad thing he’s gone through…

It tells me he isn’t a viable option for a team to employ at this present time. His treatment is ongoing and hopefully gets him back fit and playing again for someone. Since he started said treatment, McNeil has moved centrally and is thriving. We also have Ndiaye and Lindstum who likely would do well in that second striker role. I just don’t see a place for Dele here now.

At this point, I blame myself for even clicking on this thread when I see new posts.

I think Dele may be dumped right out of the Club once the new owner/s take over.

Without be nasty to Dele I hope so.
We need to send a message that the football side of the club ( I exclude EITC ) is no longer about sentimentality but is ruthless , professional and should match our motto and always strive to be the best that it can.
No more supporting a player who isn't under contract , did virtually nothing for the club whilst under contract and hasn't been half decent as a footballer for over 5 years.
