Here’s what I think anyway.

I think the deal we signed with Spurs is very messy. I truly believe Levy had something written into that contract to protect their investment and entitle them to some money if he was released on a free. God knows what that fee actually is. I think the reason we are trying to desperately to cling onto this is so we can get him fit to try and sell him on, so that we at least get something back onto our books for PSR in return. I’ve seen nothing at all to convince me otherwise, there’s something dodgy in that original deal we signed and it will all have to come out in the wash one day. A last parting gift from Kenwright I guess.

I think you are right. In some of that below.

The problem is that people keep saying "look forward" meaning we never learn from the past. People aren't held accountable at the club. The cycle continues repeatedly.

At the moment we don’t know do we? I’ve said several times this is just a theory I have that is based on nothing but my own intuition. We will just have to see in time. But I’m not going to lie on here for virtue points and say I’m not concerned about Everton yet again losing a load of money on a player for no return.
