What Premier League position would you settle for if it could be offered now.

A repeat of 10th place is the highest we can hope for.....i think we're gonna really struggle without James' creativity if Benitez doesn't want him...our right side is still too poor for this league leaving us very predictionable...

We haven't improved the squad overall, so like last season we'll fade when injuries hit key players

7th as it would be a way of improving being in Europe. If anyone says anything between 8th to 17th it's all a much of a muchness.
I used to think this but honestly I think that new europa conference will be cringeworthy, celebrating being the best of the third tier of European football is a bit lame.

I’d take 6th but think we’ll more likely finish mid-table again unless there are few exciting additions in the coming weeks

1980's (mid-late 1980's... from when I can remember) me wouldn't be impressed with anything below 4th
1990's me would be made up with 13th
2000's me would love 4th but be ok with 5th
2010's me wants top 6 expects 7-10

I'm back to 1990's me.

I think we are are in for another long-hard season.

The balance and character of the squad is awful.

I would settle for top 10 place, a lucky FA cup victory, and beating the RS in both derbies.

Not pessimistic, but wholly realistic.

That's what we are at this minute in time.

Thanks for listing out the numbers, would have been clueless otherwise.

Anyway, 10th. Top half. Although in reality anything that sees us survive with that abortion of a squad is OK by me.

A terribly droll season, losing as many as we win, conceding as many as we score but due to there being worse clubs we will be mid table 8-15
