What was Arteta thinking....

Arteta was provoked and it is not surprising his patience snapped. When Fat Sam said in his momlogue that they had studied Everton and worked out a plan we all know that it was to target Arteta and Pienaar, to take them out of the game. That has alwys been Allardyce's tactics at Bolton, Toons now at Blackburn. It is the only way he can hope to win games.

Always looked to me though that Mort walked into Arteta's finger!!!

Should of followed a poke to the eye with a low blow and a couple of chops to the chest before putting Pederson in the figure four.

Point to be made here, besides a comment on the above.
If Babel deserved to go vs Benfica, then Arteta deserved his marching orders too. Had a Blackburn player done the same I suspect we would have been bitching for a red. Ironically, I like seeing a bit of fire in him for the game and for getting into the faces of enemies, it is his other habits I dislike - specifically his showing of the imaginary yellow card to refs, thereby questioning the ref to book an opposition player. Barca yes, Everton no. Whole world of difference in honour and justice.

and there's me thinking Cahill is saying 'mention anal beads again and I'll poke you in the eye, just like I did to Death on the GOT'

by the way, how is your eye mate.
