What would make us a great top 4 team

Posted via Mobile Device That's the point i was making Steve, if we HAD the money. At the moment we cant compete ( though effing fair play mate we ain't doing too bad on a shoestring budget) with our rivals. As for our transfer kitty, your guess is as good as mine, skint, 10, 20 million? God knows.

Agreed mate, 110%. (y)

With selling someone yes.

It won't be over 5 million net spend.

Yobo, Lescott or Pienaar will leave for us to be spending around 15 million.

I'm not saying they are but i think it will be one of those 3 that would leave if anyone was going to. I'm talking about our big players here like not ******* Anichebe.

I dont think we would have a problem attracting players. We might not be seen as a HUGE club, but im fairly sure that the players agent would point out the top 6 finishes and the FA Cup Final is watched all the world, which will clearly improve our global brand.

I have to agree with that, MikelG -- dig this as a fact -- It's (now) the first time since the league began in 1888 that the same teams have filled the top six placings twice in a row.

I love your facts mate and you are correct in what you say, but ultimately, what does this prove??

Yobo and Lescott will be our only centre backs for a while, there's no chance either will leave. Jagielka is going to be out for a while and the only cover we have is an 18 year old who hasn't played centre back for about two years.

Unless Pienaar wants to leave I can't see him going. He certainly won't be pushed out of the club. He's a key player, first choice and Moyes won't let him go.

Stop pretending you know things Cal, you don't you tool.

What does it prove, Ste'?

Well what it tells me is, do we (the premier league) not have a bona-fide top 6 as oppose to the fawning over a top 4.

I'm just saying, if anyone was to leave, it would be 1 of those 3.

Depends really mate. If we got a huge offer in for Lescott or Arteta and I mean Huge, say £20m-25m each, Moyes may feel he could use that money to replace the player, not like for like clearly, but replace him and also buy 2 others.

Not saying its gonna happen, but never, say never.
