When can we start to panic?

I remember us being a good squad in a strong position in 96-97 under Royle only to get sucked into something of a fight for our lives. So it can happen.
 
Love how lids are confident we can't get dragged into a fight at the bottom, Get beaten next week and QPR are one point behind us

By that logic Liverpool are in the same fight then
 

Tbh I don't think anyone is 100% confident of beating qpr and if we don't that should set alarm bells ringing. The league table is simply too tight to allow for complacency. We're 6 points off 5th but only 5 points off the relegation zone.

And as for 83/84 we actually had the same number of points at the same stage of the season as now - 18 from 15 games - and the fans were painting messages on Kendall's garage door. So really Martinez hasn't got it tough at all in that sense.

We struggle to score/create and our defence looks ropey in nearly every game

Not a great mix really considering its a first team close to 100%

We're missing our best CB, our best CM and Naismith who's proved over the last year that he's a very important player for us. The rest of the team look a bit shattered and clearly need a break. We're not at 100% at all.
 

If anyone wants to panic, please feel free to do so. I'm not going too though. We won't get relegated, absolutely sure of that. Majorly dissapointed with our PL season so far, but no panic here.

A tad worrying that our 'best CB' is a kid. Stones has shown all the makings of a top defender but he still has a bit to learn.

I'm not buying the idea that so long as we finish 17th or higher, the panic is avoided. We were within a whisker of 4th last season. Now folk are saying 17th would be acceptable?

Our progression as a top/2nd tier club is seriously under threat right now. The panic is real.
 
....20 points at Xmas is always a good indicator that you wont be involved at the bottom. Personally, I think we have too much goal scoring ammunition. Its a really strange season, others are struggling too and I still think we'll be in and around the top 6.
