When Goodison Park is closed - memorabilia

I’ll take my seat, maybe 2-3 seats, just for a bit more than just a random seat in my back garden.

Face value probably £20, extracting the club to charge about £500 a seat, and then £500 delivery charge to fund the new stadium.

I like to think I could get mine and my arl fella's seats but to be honest I am happy with the good memories I have. Whilst I have seen some mega games at the old lady my favourite memory is hanging over the rail near the tunnel (late 80's early 90's) with the smell of liniment wafting through the air and then the noise of some studs, having thoughts of who it might be, it didnt matter as long as they were wearing royal blue. Even as a kid if they werent in blue they were getting a boo......the booing started young! Thats it for me the smell of football, horse poop, bad hot dogs, curry with 1/2 rice 1/2 chips and the smell of liniment.

I fancy a clump of turf... But haven't we now got plastic woven through it so it'll be impossible to pull up?

I think the old park end turnstiles are up in the upper bullens somewhere. Would love one of those.

If the club has sense they should auction the lot for etic

They are - there's also the original Gwladys ones are in the concourse on top of one of the storage rooms.

Might do what Arsenal did and have an auction for key items?

A turnstile for the back garden.... preferably one with a dodgy counter on it to remember the good old days when 10,000 were shaved off the gate to save VAT.
The club must’ve thought they were clever with that little vat scam, but at loads of games in the late 70’s, when the fiddled attendance was announced the whole stadium would laugh…

Happy days… well, happy compared to now!

I'm hoping I can dismantle the T Lukes Church, one brick at a time over the next few years, might be quite an ask but I reckon I could do it, Tom, Dick and Harry style!

Any help, greatly appreciated tho?

In all seriousness, what an emotional day it will be.

Can we pin this thread and have photos of our ill gotten gains posted in it after the event, well maybe a few years after in case they call the bizzies!

Does anyone actually think the jobsworths will let us take seats and go on the pitch. They’ll know doubt send us all home and then try and sell off the seats and pitch and stuff

It's gonna be a sad day for sure. Plenty of tears.
I hope some of the fixtures are saved though - and some put up at BMD.
Nice to see the Archie Leitch ironwork saved.
What artefact would you want to save - or even buy for your house / garden?
A particular seat / main stand cushion / littlewoods clock - or mssive pillar to sit behind when final score is on?
Edit; See @Connor is on to it.
Next time you go, take a selection of small sockets with you...my guess would be 10mm or 13mm with a 1/4 sq. drive.
But depending where you sit the nuts that hold your seat on May just be Imperial.
Anyway, before the KO, lift your seat up and check the nut sizes.
My guess would be max 3 self locking nuts per side.

Last ever game you shouldn't be able to hear yourself think for the sounds of whirring black & deckers.
One seat under your coat - jobs a goodun.

Seriously; somebody...anybody - take a pic of the underside of your seat and post it on here, let's get this sorted.
Edit 2; @Connor you're my man on this - make it so.
