When is to early for a Christmas tree?

A house a few doors down from mine put a tree up last week. I can't use the expletives I said when I saw it! Discuss.

Get it up no earlier than 2nd week of December. Get it down by New Year's Eve.

If I had kids then I'd widen that to start of December.

Saw quite a few decorations up this weekend. I'd say any time from this weekend is ok so anytime inside 5 weeks.

Ours will go up at the end of the month, we have a 4-year-old who thinks he rules the roost and I need to threaten him with the loss of presents as he's getting a bit too big for his boots.

House near us has had one up since the end of September. Personally, I think the 15th December, grandchildren don’t agree, it should be earlier, they like to pinch the chocolates off it.

I like the decorations up a good month beforehand but not much afterwards. Usually have them down before new year's eve on like the 29th or 30th. Christmas music is also only acceptable until midnight on boxing day, but we can start listening to it from this weekend

To be fair I used to love nicking those chocolate coins from the tree. Advent calendar chocolate in the morning before school, chocolate coin and/or other foil-wrapped chocolate tree decoration in the evening. Mum allowed us to crack open the Quality Street or Roses tin on Christmas Eve when she put on a little buffet of sausage rolls, crisps, crackers and cheese and J20s. Very nice times, sadly missed. Hot chocolate first thing Christmas Day morning.

I don't bother with Christmas decorations. What's the point? It's just more work for me putting them up and taking them down.

I have Phillips Hue Lights. I may set them to a jaunty colour if I am feeling festive but meh, probably not.
