When is to early for a Christmas tree?

Personally I'm perfectly happy with the tradition (at least it was tradition when I was a kid) of everything going up on Dec 13th and everything coming down again on 6th January.

12 days before Christmas; 12 days after Christmas. Pretty easy to remember.

I can understand why some might put stuff up a few days earlier in December, but not in November. Seems weird to me. Even more so that the types who want to put their tree up the day after Hallowe'en are usually the same ones who take everything down again at the end of Boxing Day.

People who tart up the outside of their houses though.... *cringe*

Usually up by around the 7th-10th December and down by the night of 6th of Jan. Where my wife is from the tree goes up New Years Eve and lasts until the 2nd week of Jan so there is a bit of compromise with the dates.

Only get Christmas decorations this Christmas on here if you're a 'forum supporter', said something nice about Maupay and you've voted in 95% of @AndyC's MOTM polls in 2022
