If you have an open fire. Wrap a load of empty boxes up in Christmas paper and when he gets Gobby .... toss one in to the fire and watch him cry. IT'S FFIN GREAT.

That would traumatise him more than the suggestion to take him to an Everton game ?

Remember the old Christmas films were they would bring in the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.

That's the tradition here, in the Czech Republic. They celebrate Christmas on the 24th, bring the tree in on the day and the kids decorate it.

Keep telling them they are doing Christmas wrong, need to have the tree up before December and Christmas lights that can be seen from space.

Nobody listens though.

The only way to fight this horror is for people to vote, en masse, with their feet.

If anyone REALLY wants to see how silly Christmas gets, go check the current price of Turkey with your local butcher... And then see how much that price jumps in three weeks' time.

I hate Christmas as in 1997 - I was unfairly bullied out of my job - because IMO They thought I was too qualified & too liked by directors who thought the world of me, as soon as they retied they came after me as they saw me as a threat ..... It affected me & my family still today as I am not the same person ......sad but true ...... I was happy in my job & would never have wanted to go any higher, but when you are more qualified than your line Manager it got very nasty Phycology bullying was unknown to me at that time, then he got his accountant to abuse me verbally in a meeting which I secretly taped ...... 8 years of litigation the Trade Union funded the lot - It was soul destroying ......so no Christmas tree.....
