lowton which is exactly 1/2 way down the east lancs rd, that links liverpool and manchester (for our foreign visitors) and i have checked by car and goodison is marginally closer than man ushited, although wigan and bolton are closer. and i am also remarkably close to suits apparently if he's in newton le willows

I have done the East Lancs quite a few times. Some of ou already know, but for those that don't, I grew up in the uk. South Wales then up to Oldham, where my step-dad worked (he is from Birkenhead). So I made the trip down to Goodison several times in my time there.
