Which new striker should we sign?

Moyes and the team would make sure that if he came with any kind of an attitude that he'd lose it the first week of training. Rest assured.

Unless he's another VDM...

I agree with the post about Vaughan, so also feel 11 million is a lot fdor someone who, by January, may not be a starter. But we do need some firepower up front in the meantiome, and with all the extra games we'll (hopefully) play this season, I guess 11 million on a proven PL scorer may be better business than a lesser amount on an unknown.

I guess the worst case scenario is that yakubu is an expensive half-season rental: meaning that if he can't be encouraged to get the workrate up and/or score on a regular basis, then a finally healthy vaughn will gobble up his starting spot and a finally healthy cahill will drift forward looking for chances in the winter. Then we could dump the yak for 9 mil to a club desperate for goals as they sit in relegation-land.

So 2 million for the look to see if Yak and AJ fit well (along with filling the injury gap for a few months)? Probably worth it.

Vagner Love's partner (in a football sense) at CSKA moscow looks interesting as well. Jo.

maybe we could get both for the price of a yakubu.

He's tall 6'3 and would need a haircut in order to survive in the goodison dressing room.

we need a target man as well as an all round goal scorer.
