I'm amazed that (apart from a late Juventus bid). No other massive club tried for Allan. Wasn't he worth £50m just six months ago?

I'm more excited for Allan. James Rodriguez was never worth the £63m Madrid paid for him. And he's faded a little since then.

Allan could become the best defensive midfielder we've ever had.

Hard to say. They expect them to complement each other very well and bring some different to the team dynamics.. quite different from hoarding 3 players for the same job.
