i recall you saying you also support the home nations because your british - that didn't seem to bedependant upon there being a united kingdom football team. surely the same should apply to supporting your fellow europeans - after all when the germans play argentina it's a eurpean team versus a south american one, just as when scotland play usa it's a british team against a north american one. or is it that you're not proud to be european?

also have we not had european teams in some sports or does this whole debate only relate to football?

I must admit i take no interest in international football nowadays cant put my finger on why as i used to go to the odd game back in my younger days

I think it has much more to do with the fact that whilst being English I served with the British Army. There is no European Army, or that may have changed my mind.
