What team would you like to see us play?
For me another team with heritage would be ideal. Villa seems like the perfect option with it being the most played fixture in the top flight. Could be an entertaining fixture and whilst they’re stronger than us, it could be a somewhat winnable game.
Very unlikely it would be Liverpool, and I’d want us to avoid one of the top sides. But Spurs or Newcastle could also be interesting again for heritage reasons.
Finally one of the promoted clubs with tradition and history of a top flight side such as Leeds, Sheffield United or say Sunderland if they went up would feel right too, and would possibly give us our best chance of a win.
I’d absolutely be against a new era side like Bournemouth or Brentford.
Ideal kick off is Saturday 3pm opening day, but cannot see this not being on telly. So 5.30 that day will do
