Pre tournament if you gave me the 4 semi finalists I'd go Dutch all the way.

Least of all because there is one of our boys in there.

But something has happened to me in this World Cup. I've seen through the emperors clothes of England being a decent team but more importantly, the Germans of all people are playing magical football.

There has been loads of carp on GOT about people getting their knickers in a twist hating England just because they are England, so it gives me even more pleasure to cheer on our mortal enemies because they are playing so well.

I'm not being political about the team I support to win the tournament, I'm just liking the best team on show by far.

Evertonians are an educated lot when it comes to togger and I'd imagine I'm not alone in the German love in.

The African team love in was as gay as Christmas, this is a proper love in as it is justified by what is seen on the pitch.



But... if the Dutch win, I'd be happy because they have been ace for beards, and Johnny would be a World Cup winner.

Inflatable World Cups at Goodison would be cheesy, but what the heck.
