Just past through town after work. Place is full of people in their Taylor Swift outfits off to the concert. The outfits don't really look that good when it is blowing a gale with horizontal rain and freezing cold

I think it was Neil Tennant that mentioned something similar recently. He said she doesn't have a Material Girl - that big song that literally everyone knows.

She's absolutely massive - as big a pop star as there's been in the last 20+ years, but she doesn't have any famous songs. It's mad.

Watched a Rick Beato video recently where he pointed out that most of her songs are a melody she's placed over a producers base track - essentially not much more musically advanced than royalty free music.

She's got talent but it's as much in marketing as it is in music composition.

She has put a truly ridiculous amount of music out in the past 3-4 years... to the point where it is really just content. The songs are not horrible by any means but it's more about quantity than quality.

I think she is trying to rake in as much money as she can now before she ages out of being a huge worldwide pop star. When I visited my local shop for Record Store Day, it was the day after her most recent album came out. There were four different versions of it on the rack, with a different bonus song on each one. They were all priced at a mere $50.

If the past 10/15 years belonged to Beyonce, this last tour shows the female baton has been well and truly passed on.

Her music is inoffensive which is why she's so successful with such a wide range of fans.
