flipper

Player Valuation: £25k
Who would you like for a 1st team coach?
My top 3.

Joe Jordon - Good track record, respected by players and a Scot so he'll fit
in with DM.
Sammy Lee - Don't give a toss where he played when he was a player,
Remember, Beardsley, Ablett, Johnson. He's passionate, has
lots of European and international experience and will be well
motivated and he will feel he has something to prove after
Bolton.
Alan Shearer - Pretty unlikely but it would be a good stepping stone for him
before entering management.

right well...im not sure about the assistant manager really, it could be anyone...andy holden, lumsden or stubbs from everton, then the hundreds of possibilities touside of everton....

however, firstly sammy lee is a horrible manager, i would hate to have him involved with anything in everton!! Also Alan shearer is aready being linked with the England job, and now the Newcastle job, i doubt he needs a stepping stone

Sammy Lee is an arse licker who came unstuck when he found he couldn't lick his own without breaking his back. I shudder whenever he is seen at GP poisonous prick:angry:

stubbsy would be amazing as 1st team manager, he's already got a great relationship with the team and seems to have loads of respect from them, so it would be an easy transition. on the other hand, alan shearer has the same first name as alan irvine, this fact can't be ignored.

[Poor language removed], and Mr Stubbs:P

Stubbs and Shearer both will have the same initials printed onto their jackets :o

AS

this conspiracy just got a whole lot bigger

dont know who but please not shearer.....what a wank. being a good player dont mean you'll be a good coach/manager. Plus sammy lee-fukk that. rather no one done it, just can't overlook how much of a cuunt he is.Dont want him here.

Does anyone here really know what makes a good assistant manager, and perhaps more importantly how on earth anyone here would judge those qualities in potential applicants?

The way I see it much of what an assistant does goes on behind closed doors so how can we even begin to judge who is good and who is bad?

well fat sam didnt take crap sam with him to st james's

dont know where queiroz was scouted
dont know where the spaniard under the waiter that left recently came from
no idea who wengers right hand man is
the setup at chelsea is peculiar who knows who is actually calling the shots there and who is the understudy

is it a sign of the times that the only assistant i can name is the one working for SAF?

thats a good point, but whatever qualities are necessary, obviously an assistant manager won't be effective if he doesn't have a good relationship with the players, so the reason i thought stubbsy could make the transition easily is because he already has that down. you're right though, random slobs at home at their computers probably aren't the best judges of everton's new management.

Well I wouldn't say randome slobs, but even something as critical as coaching ability is something none of us know because we don't get to see training sessions. I doubt anyone here even knows the coaching qualifications held by various people mentioned in this thread. All of which seems to turn such threads into a popularity contest based on some unknown criteria.

Hey - quit spying on us
