bill kenwright- the self appointed savior of the club who described himself as only a custodian of the club, a custodian who turned away buyers and hung on and hung on until the mosh rocked up let him keep his seat at the top table, mosh was just a front for the usmanov the man with the moolah this set up was going along ok not in total self destruct until Putin got the moolah man sanctioned the money went awol the club become the mess we see today. I’m blaming the 3 pigs and the big bad wolf usmanov mosh and bill they let Putin blow the house in

I wonder what would've become of Rodwell and Barkley had they not left too soon. Talented players who maybe got some bad advice. Davies is just the most average player in history. He lived off his start for far too long.
Wishful thinking
Rodwell was never a true midfielder and he lacked the mentality to succeed, he left because that was already apparent.
Barkley also lacked the mentality to be a success , he was too much of a plazzy gangster , his head wasn’t in the game enough to be a success.
Great players dedicate their lives to playing football , never stop training , trying to improve.
Most just do enough to stay sharp,
Some just don’t care enough to do that , they just want to enjoy the money.
And who can blame them.
In the end football is just another job , some love their job , some just get on with it and some hate it .

It's just a thought Eggsy. Both had potential that was unfulfilled. That potential is why they got their moves to City and Chelsea in the first place. Rodwell seemed more than happy to just pick up a check at Sunderland, so you're probably right that his head wasn't in it. Barks seemed a bit dense, but you don't have to be a genius to be a good player. Think there was more untapped potential there, had he not left for Chelsea when and how he did.
