Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Can we get boris johnson in? He seems at a loose end, be more transparent with the cash, and imagine the press conferences. The journo's would be running for the hills. It'd be great if not for 90 minutes on the turf...

Thought I'd have a quick look to see what Celtic fans are making of Postecoglou being on the edges of the conversation surrounding the Everton job.

This comment caught my eye:

Can't see him moving to Everton even if offered, but stranger things have happened.

Don't expect Everton to come calling for him in any case. Think EPL clubs will still be too snobby to take Postecoglou - they'll think they can do better.

Genuinely think Leicester took Rodgers mainly because of how close he came to winning the league at Liverpool. If he hadn't managed there, I doubt they'd have taken him in 2019.

Could work in our favour to be honest, but reputable EPL clubs likely won't come looking for Ange due to sheer snobbery.

Imagine thinking Everton a a reputable EPL club.

Lets be honest with ourselves- within 12 months who ever we appont will be forced out because a significant part of our fanbase are crazily impatient and will begin slagging off manager, players and club staff within a few months- this will make the manager and players perform even more poorly and we are back to square one. In case anyone hasnt noticed, this is what has happened annually for the last few years.

Can we for once expand the pool beyond the managers a stone throw away in England. This is a global sport and the only name that appears is Dyche? It's early obviously so most of this is noise but let me be clear I don't want Sean Dyche.

I’ve said it but I’d lean Adi Huttar or Pepe Bordalas both currently out of a job. Competent, well organized and stable personalities not wishful hypotheticals. Theyve managed similar scale clubs with limited resources and outperformed more often than not. A name I’d also throw out is Igor Tudor at Marseille. They are playing great in France but maybe a premier league poll? He should be noted he may have been feasible from Verona last summer if we had not based a whole following season on Palace away heroics. He seems to be one of the brightest young managers working.

Tedesco strikes me as someone the board may go for. A brilliant yet volatile performing manager that makes him kind of an anomaly seems very in theme. He is engaging but Id favor the more assuring stewards at the present moment. Considering our predicament and stability Im not sure it makes sense.

That said if we continue an obsession of managers that have managed in the premier league, I for one dont understand why Hassenhuttl wouldn't usurp the likes of Dyche. Developmental track record, astute transfer business with younger sides. People see the pilage score lines but in total he stewarded a Southampton side in drastic transition. That all seems far more sustainable than entrusting Dyche with the keys to the car.

I think that might have been true in the recent past, but not with Benitez or Lampard. We've hit the eject button the last 2 times because we're in a full-scale emergency situation - not because we're impatient. The fact that Lampard hasn't been what most of the protests have been about surely makes that clear.

It'd be fantastic to be moaning about a 12th place finish, and have half the fanbase griping about the manager in that context, but we're not there yet.

Hope the weather is good in Bangkok.
