Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Fundamentally it comes down to risk vs reward. By getting Dyche we’re minimising the number of factors at play - and therefore minimising the risk. Bielsa probably has the highest ceiling, but it’s absolutely plausible that we don’t win again with his kamikaze tactics being bedded in. That Arsenal game in particular could get really messy.

Completely agree that we should be considering wider targets too btw, but I just don’t think it’s likely. I’d love them to get some young European tactician I’ve never heard of.
Wouldn't we all but think that's best left to the summer.

Think thats what therwell is thinking with Corberan, you would like to think more links coming out as we need a manager in asap now running out of time

WE wont stay up with Dyche's 4-4-2 . Drawing your way to safety is the hardest route. I feel Bielsa would let in as many as he scored without massive player purchases. Hassenhuttl is just all wrong for us on lots of fronts. He is a bit of a cross between the two of them and would turn us into Poundland redshoite.
Depends on which version you get, if you get the Southampton version then yes I agree however if you get the Red Bull version that's a different manager altogether. No manager should be judged on one specific job, lots have a 'bad job' on their CV's his big issue for me is that he is quite stubborn like Bielsa and he plays a certain way and we would need a few players in quickly to allow it imo.

This is the crux of it for me. Personally I think we're past the point of getting to safety by clawing out a lot of draws. We need 25 points from 18 games to get to 40 points. We have won 3 games all season. To play a hypothetical, let's say we get 3 wins, 10 draws and 5 losses, that would equal 19 points giving us 34 for the season. If we get 7 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses, that would equal 24 points giving us 39 for the season.

Probably a stupid exercise because the margins are so thin, but my larger point is that I'd rather we get some wins by scoring goals even if it means we get pasted a few times in between. If Bielsa gets his points across quickly enough and he is able to add in a little realism to his tactics, I see that as a better way forward than grinding out 1-1 draws with a Dyche, Allardyce, Nuno.

I hadn`t actually realised Domenico Tedesco was on the market till a few days ago.... absolute no brainer unless you could get Tuchel...

Do you not think that's what Lampard was trying to do. Every manager that's ever sent a team out to play has wanted them to score goals. You don't win games without scoring. Everton currently don't have the right players to be able to go out and score loads of goals. Fair enough Lampard never went with full on attacking football but there's a damn good reason for it, he didn't have the players to do it. You can't expect a change in manager and a change in formation will turn incompetent players that can't hit a barn door in to Haarland over night.
