And we actually haven't had a huge amount of success over our long history. The fact that it is mostly former Evertonians who have won things is as much down to bad decisions as anything. I hate the 'he gets us' attitude.
Love Dunc, but he was a failure for us as a player (1 trophy), Rooney was, Cahill was, Carsley was, Stubbs was and anyone else you wish to name. They can share what it means to run around a bit and get the Gwladys Street shouting, but that's as far as that goes.

Another example of the board being absolutely useless. Any football club should have a constant updated “manager shortlist”, who can come in and managed the model the club/DoF have set up.
Prime example is Brighton. Lost Potter out of nowhere compared to us & replaced him like for like a day later. We should have been looking since the World Cup ffs
Not sure about this obsession with hiring “experienced PL managers” when that’s all we’ve done for 10+ years & we’ve been awful. Sounds like they’re not interested in Dyche thankfully & NES’ buyout clause will keep us away from him.

The board have probably only thought about replacements yesterday! “Oh let’s draw a list up of potential candidates or shall we get the betting odds from sky and go with that”
We need someone who is an out and out coach, who will make players better and create some basic patterns of play. We have no identity, no organisation, no structure, no patterns of play, and no idea how to move the ball up the pitch. We need coaching, not a traditional manager.
