A friend of mine for years was Ray, he is a plumber and was doing a job for a lady in Maghull, Ray was up and downstairs all afternoon and the lady said
to him can you give my son half an hour to have a shower and get-gone, anyway Ray was cleaning his van out, when he heard the lady shout " Your new
boots are in the hall" Ray being a red said who do you play for Joe, Joe said "Everton mate" Ray just thought he played for a Business House team or the
like, but when it became clear, a good laugh was had by all.
