Who would you choose?

With many similarities between now and the infamous '94 campaign under Walker, the question I ask all my fellow blues is: who would you choose?

GK: Southall or Southall?*

LB: Ablett or Mykolenko?
CB: Unsworth or Keane?
CB: Watson or Molgate?
RB: Snoddin or Coleman?

LM: Richarlison or Limpar?
CM: Ebbrell or Allan?
CM: Horne or Gomes?
RM: Stuart or Gray?

CF: Cottee or DCL?
CF: Rideout or Rondon?

@AndyC has assured me that he'll ban anyone who has the audacity to vote for Pickford.

If you were still a twinkle in your dad's cocaine-dilated eyes or under the age of thirty, you may want to watch this:

I know the point you are making and in hindsight that team of ‘94 look likelier to battle their way out of trouble than this lot.

But consider this.

For much of that campaign we were accusing them of being the same motley collection of cowards, mercenaries and couldn’t care less about the club buggers we sccuse this lot of being.

For the first, winless four months of ‘93/94 they were conscientious objectors, not Dogs of War.

They couldn’t win a match and relegation looked inevitable by mid November.

Joe came in and it all changed.

It is very obvious we waited too long to sack Benitez, in truth we should never have hired him to begin with, but better late than never.

IMO today is the start of our season.

It was bit of a false start midweek after injuries ruined our game plan and curtailed Frank’s subbing options when things went wrong,

So I expect to see a different Everton emerging today and, God help me, am feeling quietly confident now that we will win.

So COYBB :celebrate:
