Let's show a bit of pride this time and appoint someone who has not treated Everton like dirt in the past.
No Benitezs
No Rooneys
No Moyes
No Bilics (!)

Someone clean history wise who we can all get behind without it being used against them (and rightfully so) as soon as there is a struggle.

Let's have OUR club back.

A bit of identity.

I don't think that is too much to ask.
Harry Catterick , Howard Kendall , Joe Royle.

13 honours between them. Played for the club.

Maybe we should look at someone who knows the club and what it means to put on that shirt.

Whoever they get in you can guarantee it will be the wrong man because it will again be Moshiri choosing him and he hasn't got it right, well ever.

Couple articles bouncing around the inter webs about him being the next Everton manager this December.

No Sam. No Rooney. No Moroninho.
I think he came into the awareness of the press after handling a horrific situation very well at the Euros. He looks quite suave too.

His record doesn't have anything that stands out though, he is almost 50 too so it's not like he is an up and comer.

Who knows with this club but it would surprise me.

He had the right idea with Silva and Brands just the wrong people. They also need to be able to do their thing without any interference.

He is a better option than Benitez but he would be another ill fitted appointment which would make it 3 on the bounce.

Managers like Mourinho, Benitez and Ancelotti need money and total power at the club to do their work. They work better at massive clubs who just need a bit of tweaking rather than a complete rebuild.

This doesn't make him (or any of them) bad managers, it's horses for courses. He would be a disaster, we need a builder not a tweaker.

Well if the conspiracy theorists on here are correct and Moshiri buys who he wants and doesn't give a DOF full control then I cant see how a builder like Potter or whoever will ultimately work.

Mourinho would essentially do what Carlo did - dull football that gets you results with a bunch of limited players whilst BMD is built and our FFP troubles are sorted.

Thats as good as it gets for us imo - those expecting a flash hip young manager to come in and be given £150 million to revamp the squad with flare players are going to be in for dissapointment imo

Possibly, but they also won trophies because they were great managers (well not Royle as such but he was good at what he did.)

The right manager will get Everton. There really isn't a manager out there who ticks the ex player box whilst also not doing the dirty on us.
