Well you are lauding Jose for his CV implying it is an indicator of likely success with us. My stance is that it is not as evidenced by our now previous manager.

I meant recent history sorry mate.

Benitez has won 1 trophy since 2013 (if you dont include the championship)

Mourinho has won 3 trophies since 2016 and gotten Spurs to the Cup Final before being sacked.

Mourinhos last few clubs have included Man Utd, Spurs, Roma whilst Benitez has been Newcastle and Dalian Pro.

Mourinho is more Ancelotti's level than Benitez make no mistake.

Leicester are only in 10th... they're not knocking on the top 4. And they're certainly not a bigger club than Everton.

And you might not make that decision, but Everton is a huge opportunity and like I said a massive step up from Brighton.

We also have better players than Brighton, with a squad much higher in value. The problem is Benitez wasn't getting the best out of them, plus the worst injury crisis in decades.
I suggest you awake from your slumber...

How many PL titles have we won?

Please stop living in the past; the THEN and the NOW are completely different.

The definition of a Big club (of yesteryear) and today are totally different...

Don't get left behind, we are perennial mid-table finishers and that makes us a nondescript average club, and the only people who think otherwise are some of our supporters.

Sorry if this upsets you, but please stop living in the past.

Can't help thinking that they already have someone in mind when you read the full announcement on the site. You would normally expect them to have said who would be interim caretaker and the search begins etc but they didn't and instead said and update on a permanent replacement will be made in due course.

Everton and proactivity do not belong together so i hope they don't make yet another complete bollox of it. I expect they will with the absolute state of our Hierarchy.

Another perspective....

Would Potter be a name that would keep Richy, DCL, Pickford etc happy or would someone like Mourinho?

Looking at his time at Spurs Kane was perfectly happy under Mourinho, as soon as Mourinho went that is when Kane started angling for a move...

The whole 'name' argument would be great if we were top 6. Otherwise we should be looking for the person who will become the next big name.

At the moment its Potter or Amorim.

Because big clubs don't sack managers?

And a remit to get us out of the Championship is rather fatalistic.

We're more likely to go up to midtable then go down.

This has been the worst run since Kendal's last stint and we are still 6 points clear with games in hand. And we have a full strength squad again now, plus the fans will be back onside.
Big clubs don’t sack this many managers as we have in the last 5 years , yes we may start to climb the table , maybe we turn Villa over I really hope so but I am struggling to see the fight in our team as I have failed to see it at times with the last 5 managers.
We had a full strength squad yesterday and yes you can say team choice had a big affect but those players showed little of no fight even after we scored don’t get me wrong I don’t want to go down in anyway shape or form but I don’t get the big team attraction at present only way we get a big name is the money on the table

So he's gone. That should now be the end of Rondon. Will Dobbin and Simms now properly step up.
Will our next manager sort out our defence. Drop Coleman And Keane...
And get a proper midfield onboard. Allan and Doucuore will maybe be ok. With an enforcer in amongst them. Someone to properly control the midfield
Also man manage Dcl and Richarlson into staying for another season or so. Keep getting something out of Gray..Townsend...Gordon. And maybe get something out of that new bloke from Villa.
Look properly at youngsters. And get them properly involved.
And finally shift out the deadwood. Just get rid of the deadwood.
And just get a settled no nonsense formation. And also a plan B from the bench. And someone capable of changing things when things go wrong. Even if it's after only 30 minutes.
And get Everton winning football matches.
Easy this management lark. So let's now rock and roll.
The fat waiter has now sung his final song. They say it's not over......it is now. Sorry about those cliches. Almost as bad as Benetizs nonsense. Up The Toffees.
Ps. Shame that Digne had to be sacrificed by this clown. A real shame. He just might have been rejuvenated by a new manager.

Kenwright must feel it's his turn to choose this time around. Moshiri may be wounded enough to concur.

Very simple if that's the case. Rooney / Ferguson / Martinez with Dyche and Potter as the exotic candidates.
