Roberto de zerbi. Did a fantastic job at sassuolo. Now at shaktar.
Loved watching sassuolo under him. Didnt give a fk if they were playing juve inter or whoever. He took the game to them. And turned them over a few times.

Im not arguing that im arguing that people who call Gallardo a great manager are wrong to do so when he isn't proven anything in a top league.

If he went to a Hoffenheim or Malaga and won a title/trophy in a big league thats fair enough but as it stands he would be a big risk same as the likes of Anorim who's doing well in a league Fonesca and Silva did well in yet neither are top tier managers.

Only reason I would say Ten Hag is less of a risk is because he has at least taken Ajax to a CL semi final but he still would be a risk as the Eredivsie for all the top talent its produced and historic clubs the quality just isn't at the top 3 or 4 league's calibre.
You talk of Ten Hag taking Ajax to a CL semi final but Gallardo has won the Copa Libertadores twice as a manager of River with only a fraction of the spending power of the mighty Brazilian teams.

Won the league this year and voted best South American coach for the last 4 years running. But not good enough for us in your opinion?

If you were a manager and Thursday morning, the Everton job came up. Who on earth would consider it unless they had absolutely no other prospects.

You are taking on a club that has zero or very little money, the squad is so thin that it is just not equipped for the amount of games you play in the PL, let alone a European campaign. The fans hate pretty much everyone at the club as well.

All that adds up to us hiring someone like Steve Bruce, Frank Lampard or Nuno who have failed recently and have shown very little to suggest they would have better results next time around.

I think any stability in the club has to be with the manager this time and if people need to go, we look elsewhere in the club.

Lampard came top 4 with a young squad during a transfer ban. People only turn their nose up because he's not a truly elite manager like Tuchel. His achievement in his first season was excellent.

It's not sensible to compare him to Tuchel. Not elite manager is coming anywhere near us for the foreseeable future.

You alos tie in he was very close to getting Derby promoted and his acceptance to throw a few kids in! He'd be a decent candidate.

On the other shoe though, Lamaprd coming to us could be career suicide for him. If he looks at the past managers that have come & gone, the state of the board room and the infistructure! 18 months down the line and if he hasn't changed things he could be up for the chop, then were would he go after that, as it would be perceived that he'd of failed at Chelsea & Everton

If Lampard wants to get back to the very top again, then he needs to be successful at a mid level club like ourselves. Any manager who improves Everton has immediately proved their credentials because it's seen as a poisoned chalice.

These ambitious young managers don't doubt their own ability. There is no way Lampard turns this down because he's worried about failure. You don't have the career he had if you lack self belief. He would also hopefully teach our young lads like Gordon the importance of gambling in the box!!
