My point was you said no manager could get us up the table (ie win games) with the attackers injured. Well the last manager won a difficult away game with two centre backs playing full back, Davies in a 2 man midfield, Iwobi playing right wing, Digne left wing, no strikers and 2 of the slowest players you'll ever see playing up front.
You cant compare last season's smooth path with the obstructed one of this season.

No more jobs for the boys!

No more executive or senior manager roles for blokes who’s only experience is kicking a ball about. This isn’t a charity case for retired average footballers.

This is why we are total rubbish as a club.
Cahill has done far more then kick a ball around, he got a business degree from Harvard( one of the best colleges in the world) as well as ran a football team. This ain’t no drugged up to the eye ball Baxter

We will see how good his tactics are at his next job. You'll find that he wasn't the problem.

It's irrelevant what he does in his next job. He was completely exposed here. He took a side who competed for the CL last season and finished 31 points above the relegation zone, and left a side with 1 win in 13 games heading towards relegation. He has been the most inept manager in Everton's history. An arrogant bully, who frankly shouldn't be able to walk the streets of Liverpool freely after the wanton damage he's inflicted.

We was on a downward trajectory from Carlo's time. 3 wins in his last 11 matches. We had no money to spend and had to balance the books. Sure we could keep Digne, James, Bernard etc etc but next season we would face sanctions. Yeah results didn't go our way, but when you have players like Kean making calamitous mistakes which cost us games, what can you do, no amount of work on the training field can prepare you for that.

Rafael identified key problems in the team and tried to rectify them, he should be praised for bringing in Gray, having belief in Gordon, bringing in new fullbacks, getting rid of Brands, balancing the books etc

Digne and his wages weren't an issue, he was one of the first names on the team sheet. James was barely fit and Bernard was crap, that's why their wages were an issue. Digne was sold because of the falling out with the manager, if Benitez had gone a few weeks earlier Digne would still be here.

He hasn't balanced the books, I'm pretty sure we're far from being in the green with FFP, and he doesn't get any praise for the fullbacks until we've seen if they're actually any good.

We have balanced the books.

A lot of journos have said that Digne would have been sold no matter what.

Thinking he would still be here is pure fantasy.

Honestly, behave lad. We got 59 points under Ancelotti, having ran out of steam in the season (a bit like the year before, where he fixed it).

Benitez kept picking Keane, and kept picking Coleman who made mistake after mistake. He chased the best players out of the club as part of his strategy, and brought in 8 players. He was lucky the one Brands wanted (Gray) has been a success.

You say getting rid of Brands like it was a good thing. Brands was the most competent executive on the board. That was complete, un utter stupidity. Mindless wrecking of a club.

In life, it is very easy to meet people who can point out problems. They are 10 a penny. What is hard is to find people who can actually find solutions. He found no solutions, and he just made the problems far far worse.

You have to accept, he is a terrible football manager, and an even worse person. A truly vile bully, who needs wasting.
