The Ferguson inclusion in the final interviews is basically a position the board can pivot to if neither Lampard or Pereira convince. Basically he'd be the "kicking it into the long grass" option until May / June.

For me, Pereria and Ferguson both will take short term which will mean another manager lined up for the summer, Lampard would rightly feel insulted by that I’d imagine.
