This. If you keep the ball the opposition can't hurt you. This should be ingrained on the mind of anyone who's ever kicked a ball in a professional league, yet England's top players don't even seem to care much for it. Doesn't matter who you have on your team or who the opposition has, you simply must not give away possession of the ball cheaply.
On the evidence of last night, they will do well to get to the quarter finals.
i cant see england winning based on the other nights performance and the way u went about the game there s a lot more teams in it who can play better with the ball or the teams who can ground out the result
