Why we can do it at the weekend.

Honest, us losing doesn't matter. It'll only be the 5th game of the season, and against last season's champions. It will also take some attention off of us, and allow us to go quietly under the radar again. I mean, we've got to lose some time, right?

Nah, me neither. Ffs Everton, smash these so hard, their future grandchildren will be winching. Or 1-0, both work for me.
lol

Arsenal Invincibles say no.

We had damn well better do it at the weekend, I've gone all in after the Villa hammering they got.. there's about 20 students that I've been winding up for the last 2 weeks who'll all be ready to give it back if they win.

I cannot feel confident. It's horrible what time has done to me in this fixture.

My American Mrs. asked me yesterday what percent chance did I give Everton of winning. Even though we are looking amazing I said Liverpool 60%, draw 20%, Everton 20%. I know that's wrong, just scared to actually believe haha.

Tell you what though, if we do stroll out there and play them off the park, we could be in for something special.

Until then, I want to see the players aren't as big as bottlers as I am for this fixture.

Hope we win / think we can win ..... but I'm not going to get worked up either way. Dodgy calls / VAR / Pickford / poor luck / tired post internationals / etc / etc. ..... any factor could upset the result.
Bottom line is we've had a great start , the tone of the team seems to be changing...were on the right trajectory. A win over them is important going forward but not vital in that we will have lost the plot if unsuccessful. COYB !

I think we can do it for the following reasons:

  • Since we last beat them at Goodison, the Goodison derby has been very competitive.
  • We have a good side with quality all over the pitch.
  • We have deservedly won 7 in a row, with our team playing very well.
  • We will beat them at some point.
I am relaxed about the derby for all of those reasons.

Also, the worst case scenario is we lose, Liverpool are level with us and we have 12 point from 5 matches.

It is 11 v 11 if it is refereed fairly. My main hope is it is done fairly , so at least that way we have a better idea where we are up to ........
No actually I don't. After all the pee poor refereeing we have suffered in the past , I hope that we get given everything , and absolutely smash 'em.
