That's the difference. Take the guns out of the mix and people live. Also think it prevents a good percentage of dustups - if you're packing heat, think you're more apt to wave it about and when the other clown pulls his piece, shootout at the pool hall.

Yeah - of course you're right CT - guns are much more dangerous.

Guess the point I'm trying to make is that I'd be uncomfortable if anyone tried to suggest that we're somehow 'better' than US citizens because our drink-fuelled violence is not as life-threatening as theirs...
 
I doubt they're just random blokes down the pub having a few casual beers.

Probably drug dealer related. I bet those fat guys wanted their corner back or something.

Not better (at least I wouldn't read that into it) but certainly more sensible. The gun issue in the US is really out of whack . I understand the Second Amendment guarantees the right to bear arms. To bear arms against the government in the case of oppression if rebellion is needed. Not to buy a .50 caliber semi automatic rifle for "home security". It's really quite touchy with some people.

Too many seem to interprate 'right to bear arms' as 'obligation to bear, take out and fire my piece at any mofcuker pisses me off'
