Think that’s a fairish point but the net says he was on about £75k a week , the lad is 27 so effectively in his prime for that position. Obviously he won’t be wanting less than he was on , we aren’t paying a fee but reports not long ago had him linked to huge fees of about £50m . Even if you half that fee that £25m works out at what £150/160k a week over 3 years and that’s not counting whatever wages the player would get .This is the biggest issue with “free” signings. Players out of contract then double their wage demands because they know the buying club are saving on a transfer fee. Ndidi is clearly a good player, but he won’t be worth anywhere near what him and his agent will be demanding in salary.
Not sure about this this one, all I’ve really heard is he’s partial to a spell on the physio table….

If he came on the same wage as Tarks max I’d be sound with that, but I think he will get more elsewhere.Think that’s a fairish point but the net says he was on about £75k a week , the lad is 27 so effectively in his prime for that position. All of that is just my badly written clumsy way of saying I don’t want to be paying the lad silly money but wages in the ballpark of where he was doesn’t seem ridiculous and would potentially allow us to get a player in to do a job .
Could we field a team with:
Gana, Onana, Garner, Ndidi, Ndaiye
???????
Dele was worth much more than that 3 or 4 years ago. Don't want him either.Villa offered 50m for him 2 years ago
Fair play. I think on a free Ndidi adds depth and allows spend elsewhereDele was worth much more than that 3 or 4 years ago. Don't want him either.
I know some people dont want to hear this but 5m a year for a decent player? Absolutely yes. Id like Kev to negotiate that down a bit, but if you have 20 outfield players costing you 5m per year your player costs are 100m. Thats less than half of our current 237m player cost.Wants 100 grand a week. That's 15m over a three year contract. Not convinced
If he can stay fit he could be a great free signing. We could certainly use a few players just to fill the squad up a bit. The only thing is that our luck probably means he becomes the next Delph or Gbamin.Fair play. I think on a free Ndidi adds depth and allows spend elsewhere
Ndidi isn't close to the player he was, he was OK last season. But in the previous two, he was pretty woeful.Think that’s a fairish point but the net says he was on about £75k a week , the lad is 27 so effectively in his prime for that position.
