Transfer Rumour Wilifred Gnonto

I don't think he gets game time at Spurs if he does decide to go there, guess we'll see what happens but it's only on us for messing about trying to get him for a couple of million less.

Horrible feeling Levy and Spurs are doing their usual...waiting for us to agree a fee and swoop in.
It makes sense, with them flush with cash. Let clubs who are tapped out set the price, then move.

I don't know that Gnonto is an answer for them, though. They've been buying a lot of players in recent years, and that squad is bloated. Spending the Kane money on several moderately-priced attackers (where they are thin) smacks of how Levy flushed the Bale money.

Levy's transfer record isn't all that good, if you look at it. He has multiple whiffs for every hit. If he wants the player, odds are he would be doing us a favor by pushing us to another target. I don't understand why the clubs with the most money aren't throwing massive money at guys like Begiristain. It would be a much more efficient use of all that cash than what they're doing.

Yeah, it’s always a risk when we wait and wait to sign someone, either a club like Spurs that has money, or a club like West Ham become interested following a big sale. I’m not sure on the lad myself….I didn’t see much of him…I think his best game was away vs Arsenal, but from the little I have seen, and looking at his stature etc, I’m just getting Aaron Lennon vibes.

Spurs would give us 2 thoughts about us , remember Danjuma.

Find a compromise very quickly if not put a final offer in , if that doesn't do it walk away.
We've had this dance too many times.

If he does end up at Spurs or another club then again it’s Everton’s fault for dithering about and not getting deals done.
