Transfer Rumour Wilifred Gnonto

In defence of Leeds, or any club for that matter, they have a valid contract that the player signed and are well within their rights to want to keep him

Clubs are always expected to bend over backwards for players, but there's never any expectation on players to fulfil contractual commitments

They feel they can't sell him right now, just like when we felt we couldn't sell Richarlison. He got his head down and played, and then got his move at a later date

Gnonto could easily do the same here, but he's decided to be unprofessional to force his move

You signed the contract. You made a commitment. The club can't afford to lose you at this juncture. Tough taters
Hes a little rat snake, but thats Premier League football for you.

I don’t blame Leeds at all personally. But they need to be destroyed. The cheeky Harrison loan is a good start. Take whatever dignity they have left. Save the Leeds Press Podcast

It's always slightly different if a team goes down. There's little or no chance Richarlison would have ever stayed with us in the championship

They don't have to sell, but I don't really see how they benefit from keeping the player at this point. We made the mistake of keeping Gordon last summer and his performances declined significantly until he was sold the next window.

I still think the player will likely be sold this window, just not convinced at all it will be to us due to the price

We still made bank on him of course

It might just be that right now they need to either hold onto him or get the value they think he's worth to justify selling him with the season already started

As others have said, Leeds might just think that they can ride this out and he'll start behaving once the window closes
