The only concern I have with a player who downs tools, is that it is a feature of their personality. When a bigger club comes calling they are likely to do the same to us. It’s a bit like entering into a relationship after shes had an affair, and not expecting that something similar could happen in future. (Disclaimer: Purely an analogy and I’ve had no experience of this of course, because I’m god‘s gift to women)
