Will Newcastle bounce straight back up?

Kevin Nolan must be gutted. Imagine moving to a supposed bigger club as you think the one you are at is going to get relegated. And then they stay up and you go down. I hope the paycheck is worth it.

This is for you Nolan you fecking cheat HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Was going to say the same thing hahahahaha

But just look at their wages. Its around £650k a week!

Honestly, they're going to struggle in the championship. And there are some very good footballing sides in the championship.

Didn't Ryan Taylor say something about man for man, were about the same.

Looks like it too mate.

Yup. Said they've got real international class that should be up where we are.

But do you know what I love....that history will always say "Newcastle were relegated by an OWN GOAL"

Nah. They need to completely rebuild the squad, and that should take time. There's not a single Newcastle player who doesn't want to be somewhere else.

15 of their players are on 50k a week or more.

Not ONE of those players had a "relegation clause" put in their contracts by the club.

They will not come straight back up. They are likely to become the new Leeds & have to pay 50% of the players wages to get other cllubs to take them off their hands.

absotively! how low can they go?

Ashley has too much invested in them for them to stay anywhere but the premiership. They will utilise the 'parachute payments' cut a bit of dead wood and return, they have to to survive.
Although I do not like Newcastle fc or their fans, I am not going to gloat at their relegation, the scars of last day escapes never heal fully and the torture of that end still haunts me now, regardless of the kenwright-moyes era.

So, if Newcastle continues to slide ... they'll have to work it out with Notts County about who gets to wear stripes when they play in League 2.

Boing Boing Geordies.

Under the current owner I can't see them returning right away. They are going to loose players, and I don't see them attracting anyone with ambition at the moment.

I did laugh on Sunday after watching their match. Then I thought of us not too long ago, sobering thought. I won't gloat any further, and I hope their owner can get his act together or move on for the sake of the genuine fans.

I reckon they'll be out of the Premiership for a few years at least, they could really be on the brink of collapsing in a way I've always hoped.

Saw a guy with a Newcastle shirt at Disneyworld this morning and wonder how in the heck he could be enjoying his time here.

I don't see them coming right back up either. Big problems to fix first.
