Will next season be a write off?

Player Valuation: £40m
With us apparently putting long and intensive work into finding a new manager and the summer recruitment plans recently discussed between Brands & Carlo more than likely being thrown out the window, added with the probability of the new manager wanting to keep hold of his current players to see what they’re capable of before any exodus, will next season be a write off for you? Or in other ways will it be a free hit for the manager?
What should the expectations be as is currently?

….depends on our new manager appointment & transfer activity. 4 of the right type of players in the right positions will hopefully see us improve, but if we fail to do that it could be a struggle. I don’t see why we can’t be around European spots and have a good run in the cups.

We’ll have a better idea in 6 weeks or so.

no but you can probably give the benefit of the doubt in certain situations, Not expecting any manager to come in and take us to the glory land if Ancelotti can't.

All depends on the quality that comes through the door in my very humble opinion.

It shouldn't be. The only reason it would be is incompetence.

The Everton hierarchy love an excuse. Let's not give it to them by giving them an out straight off.

New man should be in by the end of June. Brands should be transferring demonstrable failures out of the club at the same time. Big signings should be happening in July. New manager should be told that he gets us Europe or a Cup or his position will be reviewed at the end of the season. Mitigating factors would be derby wins, style of football, and a measurable sense of progression.

If Everton really want to bridge the gap to the top, they've got to stop being soft touches. We'll have a very good idea next May if the new man is any good. We could have predicted Koeman and Silva would be duds before they arrived. Some of us did. Carlo brought us wins at places we hadn't won at in years - as we felt he eventually would. Big Sam kept us up playing Big Sam football - as we knew he would. The only real surprise over the last decade was Roberto having such a stellar first season - but he was a busted flush by the time of a 3-0 defeat at Southampton before Christmas in the second season. And then we left it drag on for another 18 months...even though we knew he was spent.

The new guy needs to win us a cup or get us into Europe or both. Anything else is treading water. If he doesn't think he can do that, he should do an Antonio Conte and say "I am not convinced". We need fellas who are genuinely convinced they can do this. More to the point, we should be convinced they can too.

Hopefully August 2021-May 2022 will not be ruined by any football at all

No. People are under some wild assumption that we actually achieved something this year. When infact, nothing has really changed. We finished 10th, we had the worst home form in our clubs history, we played horrible boring football, and we have lost a manger that obviously didn’t care about our club or our fans. If anything I’m expecting to move forward. We need to get a winger and a RB and we push on. Carlo really didn’t do anything while he was here so I don’t really think he will be a miss.
