Will we be next to 10 titles?

It's really sad to read this actually, because it makes you realise that however much we progress, titles are so so hard to come by! Man City & Chelsea are the only non-traditional top teams who have won titles in recent years (Apart from Leicester of course) and they are obviously supported by billions. I think i have a lot of confidence that we will not fail in this, but i believe Man City took about 5 years to get to title winning status, with milliions more than us. I would start that 5 yr countdown in 2024 when we're at the new stadium and can match revenue with our billionaire's investment, and then in 2030 I would like to see us being actually close to winning the league. When you write it out like this, it seems such a long time to wait for something that may not even happen. I hope we play a perfect season one day and get the amazing Leicester run of luck - they were great but had so many things that just worked out that season as well - and we manage to win 1-2 cups before then - say the FA Cup and League Cup once. And by the way, before anyone else thinks this is so optimistic, what's the point of supporting football if you don't hope? We are only one of 8 teams who can even dream of winning anything, the other 12 clubs are looking at survival each year, and European qualification maybe once.

Out of the top 8, 2 teams always have a bad season, 2 eams have a great season, and 4 can go either way. We just have to consistently be in there for a while, and make sure we are don't have a bad season - Mourinho, Klopp, Pep will all leave their clubs sooner than later (within the next 3-5 years), Brendan Rodgers will move, Tuchel, Arteta & Ole will get better and better or their clubs will stagnate and they'll be sacked - so there are always opportunities for us to take to stay around Champions League places.

I agree that success is a combination of hard work and quality but fail to see how nationality comes into it.
It’s due to knowing the league, the teams, the rivalries. Growing up in any particular nation helps you get the emotional commitment and drive for that tournament imo

Being a good professional sorts that out. Honestly I don't buy it as an important factor.

There are players in all countries who make up for limited talent with hard work, dedication and committment to the cause whichever shirt they put on.

Understood but look at the league title winning teams, all had British players in key roles that we all hated because they were aggressive or getting away with things. Things that wound the opposition or the fans up
Just a view

No chance. The likes of Leicester, West Ham and Wolves are ahead of us in current time. Although, I don't see City dominating England as people think. Once United sack their PE teacher in charge, they'll have the same resurgence as Chelsea under Tuchel and I can see United, Chelsea being very competitive come next few seasons.

Maybe Leicester, but I don't see them sustaining the model of buying quality at good value just before they are at the point the real big boys would take an interest, sooner or later that model always falls over.

West ham and wolves, no way. West ham are just like we were under moyes, they're on a season challenging for 5th now, could easily be 17th next. Wolves are on a down cycle.

Of all the non-sky clubs aside possibly from Leicester I think we are best placed now and in the 3-5 year frame.

Man City, sadly. A lot depends on if Man Utd can get themselves together as realistically, they’re the only team big enough to compete with Man City’s endless money.
