Will we qualify for Europe this season?

We will revert back to form soon enough. Would we get into Europe if we got to the final of the league cup and lost to a team that had already qualified?

Despite our start to the season essentially giving everyone a 12 point start, we are now only 6 points off the European spots and are one of the form teams in the league.

Champions league will be a step too far this season, but we have to be in with a decent chance of qualifying for one of the other European comps.

No drugs but you've definitely been sniffing beers matts.

I just think if all the doom mongers can constantly post about us getting relegated, we should be allowed one thread where we try and be positive and maybe look upwards rather than over our shoulder.

In all honesty I think we’ll be closer to Europe than relegation (unless we get hit with a points penalty but I don’t see it happening) but I think we’ll be a way away from both in boring midtable obscurity with five or six games to go

Now winning a cup on the other hand…

So we're eight points out of sixth with many fixtures left to play. Our league wins are at Palace, at West Ham, home to Bournemouth and at Brentford.

That's not bad at this juncture, but it's not a European record. We would have to stay healthy to an unreasonable degree, enjoy good fortune in fixtures and have the big spenders who are down continue to stumble. We're far more likely to beat Fulham, hit the 1/3 lottery in the semifinal draw and then have the one miracle fixture at Wembley where anything can happen, and that's not likely either.
