Transfer Rumour William Carvalho

This signing would be a real game changer, not only for his name etc but also how we set up the team.

Such a great passer of the ball and excellent positional sense. Basically our "Carrick type".

actually agree with you on this one.
Will allow us to play with one sitting midfielder instead of 2 also with the other two up and down the pitch in more a 4-3-3 than a 4-2-3-1

Player concerns are to be expected I think, given our recent league placings / history. I would admit to being a little daunted by quite how much work is evidently required in addressing those concerns, but this is the reality it seems.

I hope we can get one of the 4 over the line soon, as I think this will have an effect in giving the others moral encouragement to sign as well, at least I would hope so.

I would be confident in Moshiri and Ryazantsev' abilities to be persuasive and to present us in the most positive light, as I would with Koeman and Walsh too.

Just need a Yes from someone, it would get the ball rolling and be a reward for what seems to be a huge amount of work already put in.

If you remember, the first year City had money they had similar issues. It took the one "top" signing of Robinho to ease things in future windows. That's where we are hopefully in a different boat since we already have Lukaku. If we could get him to settle a bit, getting others to come join him and not have to be at a cutrate wage like previous years, the tide could turn fast in our favor.

What kind of sad spackle of a person spends the effort creating an account, pretending to be a blue, and posting a fair amount on here, seriously get a life and as an idea look at your own club for a change - go hang out with the utter melts on RAWK and wank over having Klopp whilst ignoring one season aside he's just had the worse season of any manager for twenty years for you.

'spackle' made me chuckle

I wish people would stop comparing us to City, they had become probably the richest club in world football at the time, we have no idea where we are in that table. Even within the prem, how rich are we?

I would imagine, City, Chelsea, Utd and Arsenal all still have more cash than us, and possibly Liverpool and Spurs too, so that makes us POSSIBLY top eight.

I am delighted we are more financially secure, but we are still miles behind City's wealth.

Reckon you´re about right. Utd, City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool are all richer that us for sure. Considering how we´ve behaved this summer I´d say the purse strings are as tight as ever.

As tight as selling 3 strikers on deadline and replacing them with an Argentine carthorse and a winger who'd been run out of every club he'd been at?

As tight as selling your best player with an hour to go because of bank debt? As tight as squeezing a few million out of a Russian winger just to fund 2 loans, a 500k signing and a one season wonder from Scotland?

If you think they're as tight as ever, you really really don't have a clue.
