Is Keys any good or is Sabalenka expected to destroy her?
Keys has the tools, but has to be her day when she's got everything dialed in. She never wins on a bad day, whereas the top flight champions have that capacity to grind out a terrible looking win on an off day. Still a hell of a player, the margins are so very slight.
Wimbledon is the outlier now, where once all the slams were grass, the tour has phased grass out to such an extent that players in general wont play 10% of their entire career on grass.

Good points tbf.

I've struggled to get into the tennis in recent years with the old guard moving on. For some reason used to love watching Gasquet - proper rogue player who had serious style but little substance in the end.

Do like watching Alcaraz though, his forehand is like a cannon with some of the shots he plays. If he sorts mentality out, he'll dominate in years to come.

Seems to get to the most ridiculous of shots as well. Court coverage, agility and speed from him is out of this world!

Didn't for see Jabeur being quite that strong, Rybakina seemed to get a touch of the Swiatek's in those last two sets. No game and no gears to move into.
Medvedev with a break up first set.

Medvedev getting absolutely pummelled in this second set. Looks a bad case of the Swiatek's again. looking like losing it 6-1.

Incredible run from Eubanks. He really had it going in sets 2 through 4. Medvedev showed a distinct difference in quality in that breaker, essentially breaking Eubanks' spirit.

Will be interesting to see if he can use this to jump into the Top 30 with the other Americans, or whether he is only capable of these kinds of results on grass. You'd think his game would translate to faster hard courts, and if you're in the Top 100, it's really all about confidence and ability to execute under pressure - something he's demonstrated to himself he can do over the past month or so
