This whole Ukraine stuff has really highlighted how moronic the majority of Governments have been with regards to energy over the last God knows how many years.

Its basic energy sources, not rocket science, Ive played Sim City.

If we get a winter blackout for 3 hours a day, what should we do with our lives? Apart from dogging and sleeping I don’t see what else I could do with them 3 hours.

Joking aside, it's potentially quite a serious issue. I would hope that some thought has gone into ensuring those that are vulnerable and / or need equipment to stay alive retain supply:

Another example - towards the end of his life my Dad was bed bound and needed slings and hoists to be moved around. All powered by electricity of course. Plenty more out there who rely on things like this. Without them they'll literally be stuck.

I have no idea if it is possible to be that targeted re: supply? Has it even been thought about? This lot in power are barely arsed f vulnerable folk can psy their bills.
