So very true, I will still watch them as long as they are there but long gone are the days where I would still be upset/angry at a result after the game. It is literally, final whistle goes and boom on goes my life with no difference.

During the game I can still get het up, just like I was for the Rugby and will be during the Ryder Cup, but it is only sport and I would advise anybody to just take a step back and look at life outside of watching football, you may just enjoy the football more after that is contemplated.
I couldn’t even enjoy the sport because of the way it’s gone. Watching the talking heads gush about your Man City’s and Chelsea’s etc. like it’s some kind of achievement that clubs that the sport have picked to be the only ones allowed success and are allowed to cheat and do whatever they like purely because they bring in the foreign money at the expense of the fans, the other clubs and the integrity of the sport.

Oh wow the club who’s bench cost more than a lot of countries annual GDP has won the league again what a fantastic competition.

Oh and the grown men diving is laughable.

If Everton cease to exist, is it then allowed to support someone else?

Normally that's totally against the rules, you cannot change teams; but if your club no longer exists, do the rules change?

Just think of the people in the media who'll get rich writing articles about the demise of one of the biggest clubs in England. It will go on and on.

For me, it will be the entire end of my interest in football. I'm already at the stage where I don't even look up results other than Everton... and my god I've even tried to kick that nasty habit.

Bring it on, it's not even a sporting competition any more and I can do without Everton ruining my weekends.

My main concern is, when everton exist only in the memory, ... Will GOT be the same? What is the future of the GOT and how will Danny fund his fancy biscuit addiction?

I’m kind of at acceptance.
What did it for me was the Covid seasons. Most of the elite level clubs could function without paying fans through the turnstiles. The whole finish the season pressure was to avoid paying back tv money.
The whole European super league saga was just the icing on the cake.

Ultimately Everton are the architects of their own downfall. We were one of the instigators of the creation of the premier league and we’ve just fallen off and lost grip of their coat tails because the club has been run shambolically since the turn of the 90’s.

GoT’s Everton memories site will be scintillating in 20 years time:

“Remember the good times?”
“Not really mate”
“Me neither”

“We’ll always have the 80’s”
“I was born in 2012”

“Sorry I thought this was a website for the mints”

Watch non league instead.

I get to between 5 and 10 Marine games a season now. Walk there, cheap tickets, can have a drink in the ground, happy when they win and not upset when they lose.

My local side is Everton sadly! I follow Wrexham though, because I snogged a girl from there once, Ryan Reynolds coming in was a bonus.
Good man. I used to go on the train to every home game when I lived in Hawarden in the 70’s

Actually dislike going to Goodison these days.

Turgid losing football, and even the fans are starting to be resigned to relegation and possibly worse.

I tried this two years ago when I realised I seem to be a jinx on any team I follow in any sport. I went to watch my tiny town football club play in the Wiltshire league.

I left at half time with my local team 5-0 down. I was 55 and reckon I could have improved the defense.

I'm going to start a Gofundme page and get you a season ticket for Anfield!!

So we are allowed a new team.

That being so, who would we all go for?

It's an easy choice for me, for family reasons I'd start to watch Brighton. Least I'd get some good football to enjoy
