Neville was pretty average as a player but he did the basics well, which is all he needed to do. Nobody is asking Siggy to go dribble past 3 and score a worldie, they just want him to do what is expected of him, he doesn't care.

Any half decent performance would have seen them out of sight already.

Same with Spurs last Monday, take away the deflected goal and they were never likely to score
