Japan never expected Sweden to go after them, took them 70 min to figure it out. Really after the swedish shot hit the post in their 1st half, it should have been apparent that Japan's counter was getting eaten alive and they came out in the 2nd half w/ the same style.I thought Japan might be too good for Sweden before the game, but for most of the game the Swedes did everything right and used their physical advantages very well. I really wanted them to win after the dive for the pen, I hate that kind of snidery. Japan did well to force their way back in, and I thought the Swedish boss made bad decisions with his late subs (apart from Hurtig).
I couldn't understand where the 10 mins. stoppage time came from but it made for a very tense and exciting finish.
Over here this Leagues Cup between MLS and Liga MX has been clashing with WWC for the entire tournament. Can’t stop this money train. Not sure how I feel about Arsenal Vs Forest going up against the England game
Obviously Sky and TNT have paid their money and have no reason to do the terrestrial channels any favours, but would it kill them to let the women have their slot unopposed given the importance of the match?
Not sure you can. Could you show your working out?Technically you can win the league scoring 0 goals
Up the forced-them-into-an-own-goal Toffees
19/1.But if that were the case, the bookies would have the odds for all clubs as equal. All at 20-1 as their chances of winning it were equal in this meritocratic Premier League.
The bookies odds reflect the reality that the Premier League is not a meritocracy, that real world issues like finances and ownership impact significantly and that Football is not now and never has been, a meritocracy. (Although pre 1992 the impacts damaging a meritocratic status were less).
Gone right of topic with this. Apologies.
