Putting the cart before the horse a bit there mate - they have to win tomorrow before its theirs to lose on Sunday
Just sayin like
I'm not English - so no dog in this race - but I think they've been the most consistent and reliable side in it and I expect them to find a way past an under-pressure host nation. If they do, they'll be a bit too smart and direct for a Spanish team that play almost stereotypically.

Australia England Sweden all play the same way-ish.
History shows that in the men's game more often than not as soon as England come up a 'technical team'
They can struggle.
England should - just - 7 times out of 10, have enough to beat Australia.
But they are at home with a big crowd behind them and this can help or hinder.
It's up to the Aussie manager and the players themselves to handle the pressure

He who dares She who bottles least wins...maybe

Then there's the Sam Kerr conundrum - you can see she's a decent player but she's been injured, may still not be 90mins match fit.
I'm not sure a WC semi is the place to get match fit minutes under the belt
When she came on after 60mins she seemed to upset the teams balance rather than maintain or improve
It.
The manager found a way to play without her - can he...should he try and find a way to play with her.
It wasn't broken, maybe there's no need to fix it.

If Australia do get through that 7 out of ten, drops to 2 out of ten.
That said it's still a funny old game and you just never know.

Australia already beat England already this year. Spain ran England extremely close at the last Euros and were a bit unlucky to be knocked out, and were without their best player for that one. Should be tight IMO

For all their talent and tenacity, Spain are hard to watch. Tiki taka bores the life out of me, and their cynicism is a turn-off.
So many teams play direct, don't mind the tiki-taka in the women's game. Spain's mens were hard to watch for lack of goal scorers. The Women's team doesn't have that problem.

One thing that I don`t think is fair in the ladies football, is the fact that the goals are regular sized.

Surely the fact that most of the goalkeepers aren`t six footers, means it would be fairer to lower the goals by an inch or two to compensate.

The Swedish goalie is a really good keeper, but she`s small compared to the male goalies, there was no way she was getting near that shot, due to her height.
If you make the goal smaller it's going to be even harder for goals to be scored though? Some of the shooting has been absolutely horrific this tournament.

Cricket, rugby (both codes), track & field, netball, etc, etc.

For the most part a close fought contest between us and them, although it feels like they come out on top a bit more often than we do.

I've always hoped we would get them in a World Cup. Our men's team is much better than theirs. We could properly smash 'em.

When it finally happens, it's the girls, playing in their back yard.

I hope they can do it, but I fear the convicts hoodoo on us will continue tonight.
