Must mention that one of the problems of living in a foreign country for a long time is losing touch with new vocabulary.
I've never actually heard the word 'avatar' pronounced for example.
when I arrived in Spain in 1993, I'd only ever seen one mobile phone and it was the size of a house brick (and about as good for communicating from what I could make out). And internet was not a word anyone had ever said or even written (outside military intelligence). So there's loads of new vocabulary connected to telecommunications and IT which I probably pronounce wrong but I don't know.
Oh and there's loads of stuff in Spanish which I still pronounce wrong

Seriously, I'm sure he said Mario Fellaini and Victor Anchovie within the space of five seconds this weekend.

When I was younger I used to pronounce Liverpool, the football club, the same as Liverpool the city. Now I know the football club is pronounced Red Shy Eat.

lol, i had that problem with li tie. i was reading about him in the papers and talking about him on forums pronouncing it (bruce) lee (neck) tie. only to go to goodison on a trip back home and find out it was almost french sounding in reality.
