Yeah some great venues mate. Looking forward to it. I think Portugal is GMT. Not sure about Morocco
I think it’s GMT too

Just read that the 2034 world cup is likely to take place in January and February as Ramadan falls in November and December of that year
Yeah I mean Jan/Feb are the worst months of the year so wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have a world cup then. Now that is far more appealing.
If it falls kindly, a week in Oman wouldn't be awful, would it?
That's another thing. Confirmation (as if we needed it) that people in power are not taking this problem seriously at all. A tournament on 3 continents* with all the flights that entails.Climate change. Spain will be too hot by then
I'll be 71 or dead ....Happy ChristmasI'm not expecting to be around in 2034 so is of little interest to me, the way the world is shaping i doubt anybody else will be either.
On that cheerful note happy Christmas to you all
Yeah it was a total stitch up so they could give it to Saudi Arabia in 2034. With one world cup (2030), they've taken Europe, South America and Africa out of the rotation. That's another thing. Confirmation (as if we needed it) that people in power are not taking this problem seriously at all. A tournament on 3 continents* with all the flights that entails.
* I'm aware that a lot of the distances covered in Russia are far freater than those of travelling between Morocco and the Iberian peninsula. It's the South American inclusion I'm talking about mainly.
Should have been just South America or just Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
They`ll forget about all that human rights jarg well before a ball is kicked as they`ll be more interested in the ad revenue that all the extra games they show will bring in. If they really cared about human rights they`d refuse to cover it, and football associations would refuse to play. But money talks. So for the next 10 years, and especially in the last 1 or 2 years before the 2034 World Cup, the media will be going into overdrive about human rights in Saudi Arabia, only to forget all about it again once the World Cup is over and everyone has packed up and gone home, whilst breathlessly talking about what a wonderful World Cup it was just like Qatar 2022. Meanwhile England will wear some sort of protest badge or make some sort of gesture before kick off for the first couple of group matches, only to abandon it after FIFA warns them they face possible expulsion from the tournament if they continue with it.
Doesn't their rules also mean that the 2038 world cup will automatically be held in North Amerrica (Given that New Zealand or Vanuatu are unlikely to put in a bid)Think the process of awarding a world cup to 3 considerations to fast track Saudi to hosting a World Cup is far worse than anything Blatter or Johannsen did, which is quite the achievement.
Awarding a grand total of 3 games to South America and probably 20-30 games to Morocco, ruling them out for another 12 years is quite something.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see it go back to USAThey're going to have to change their rulings, because every confederation will be ineligible except Concacaf, OFC.
So no one in central America are bidding, so either USA get it back, or they change the law.
Given that they just awarded 4 u17 world cups in a row to Qatar, nothing is off the cards
